A philanthropic 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to ignite a passionate commitment and personal responsibility for the well being of animals thru advanced educational programs for children and teachers.
Partnering with the CSTL (Center for Science & Teaching & Learning), the Big Apple Animal Foundation is building an Animal Education Center located on the 17 acre Tanglewood Preserve in Rockville Centre. This Center will incorporate innovative classrooms and unique educational programs that cater to children in pre-school through their teens. In addition, we will connect to Long Island and regional schools by offering curriculum based teacher programs that will enable teachers to bring animal science to their students.
The Animal Education Center will also house one of New York’s largest reptile exhibits, built to reflect the animal’s natural habitat.
